Senegal: CaLP's Value Approach and Global Team Meeting Facilitation

The Cash Learning Partnership (CaLP) is seeking for expressions of interest from a team of experienced consultants and facilitators to: (1) design and guide the process of generating a value focused approach for CaLP and (2) facilitate CaLP’s global team meeting in that direction.

In early 2016, CaLP launched a new operational strategy and transformed its governance structure – reflecting the global growth of CTP and the need for a network working towards a collective goal for CTP in the humanitarian system. CaLP is now a global network with over 40 members (including UN bodies, INGOs, NGOs, individuals, and private sector companies) and governed by a Board of Directors.
In support of its ambition, CaLP is staffed by diverse global team which has expanded significantly in the past 12 months to reflect the step change in its approach. At this critical juncture, CaLP is seeking professional advice and guidance on how to best organise ourselves to effectively engaged with our membership, and ensure that we continue to generate maximum value. CaLP intends to explore this approach in the run-up and during its annual global team meeting, which will take place in September 2016.

Essential profile of the consultants:

The consultants should have the following essential skills and knowledge:

  • Experience of designing and delivering processes that culminate in value focused models such as VFE and collaborative advantage.
  • Experience of working with network organisations, alliances and/or joint ventures.
  • Experience of working with organisations that have a broad and diverse member base.
  • Strong facilitation skills, and a minimum of 3 years experience of facilitating similar types of events/ team meetings.
  • Understanding of the challenges of working in global, virtual teams across time zones.
  • Knowledge of team building exercises/activities for remote/globally dispersed teams.
  • Strong understanding of network engagement
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of CaLP, its work and key stakeholders (1 team member at least)

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of network mapping tools.
  • Experience developing collective impact strategies.
  • Previous experience of working with CaLP.
